May at Dobrodiy Club: a month of new discoveries

May was a truly eventful month for Dobrodiy Club — filled with fundraising campaigns, workshops, and meetings that helped teenagers grow, learn, and feel supported. Let’s look back at what made this month so special.

Responsible Initiative for Children’s Day

Traditionally, on Children’s Day, Dobrodiy Club launched a fundraising campaign to support teenagers affected by the war. The initiative united: 100+ responsible companies, 75+ responsible adults and everyone who believes that their present is our future!

This year, we set an ambitious goal — to raise ₴10,000,000 to fund a year-long program of therapeutic and recovery activities for 3,000+ teenagers who have suffered from the war.

Place of Power — a Safe Space for Teenagers

In May, the Place of Power was visited 1,039 times — that’s more than a thousand meaningful conversations, new friendships, and moments when someone finally felt: “I’m not alone.”

We held 99 events — each one becoming a small point of support for those in need of attention, understanding, or simply a safe space to breathe.

Among the highlights of the month: visiting the “Third Breath” exhibition, dedicated to human emotions; A first-aid training that taught vital skills; A meeting with robotics engineer Olia Zota; An acting workshop with Gio Pachkoria on confidence and self-presentation; A lecture “Youth in the Flow of Ukrainian History of the 20th Century” — a real journey through time; The launch of a dance-movement therapy course; And a brand new storytelling course led by psychologist Svitlana.

Your feedback is our inspiration:

  • “It’s so cool that you can come anytime and instantly feel at home.”
  • “This is probably the only place where I’m not afraid to show my true self.”
  • “I realized I’m not alone — and that it’s okay to talk about what I feel.”
  • “Here I feel understood, supported, and truly happy.”

Workshop “Decode Your Success Code”

In today’s world, teenagers need more than just knowledge — they need self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and adaptability.

That’s why Dobrodiy Club hosted the career orientation workshop “Decode Your Success Code,” which gathered 52 teenagers in our safe space.

The invited speaker was Taisia Puhach — PR Director and producer of the documentaries “Diviya” and “Antarctica: War Diaries.” She shared her professional journey and encouraged participants not to be afraid of honesty — even when it doesn’t match others’ expectations.

Together We Make Change

None of these initiatives would be possible without our amazing Dobrodiy supporters. Each donation helps a teenager find their path, believe in themselves, and dream boldly.

👉 Join the Dobrodiy community and set up a monthly donation on our website — together, we’ll create even more stories of growth and success!
