The last month of summer: remembering the brightest moments of August

August at Dobrodiy Club was filled with energy, creativity, and connection. It became a month of new ideas and heartfelt encounters that offered teenagers support, opened space for learning, and helped them develop their talents. Let’s look back at the brightest moments together! 🌟

A Safe Space for Teenagers — the Place of Power

This month, our Place of Power was visited over 2,400 times, hosting 141 events. Among them were: the humor course “Okay, That’s Funny” with Maksym Albul, a financial literacy training by Mariia Myronenko, and a lecture from Stop Sexting on online safety.

Special attention went to the phototherapy course by psychologist Svitlana, which helped participants see beauty in small details, and the interactive game “The Key to Balance” led by Aliona Oleksiienko, aimed at improving teamwork and communication.

One of the most anticipated events was the “Boom! Clack! Splash!” music workshop with Lana Chobakha, where teenagers created their own musical cover.
August concluded with a three-day public speaking course by Liubov Kravchenko, helping participants gain confidence and self-expression skills.

The 9th Educational Intensive “I Did It!”

From August 18–22, the 9th “I Did It!” intensive took place at the Place of Power, bringing together 58 teenagers from across Ukraine — including children of military families, internally displaced youth, and teens from large or low-income families.

During the five days, participants:

  • created their own social projects with mentors, exploring topics such as ecology, culture, inclusion, animal protection, and sustainable fashion;
  • went on field trips to museums, shelters, cafés, and eco-picnics to see real-world examples and find inspiration;
  • worked with the “Success Roadmap”, reflecting on questions like “Who am I?”, “My goals”, “My resources”, and “My environment.”

The intensive was made even more special thanks to meetings with inspiring guests — including Tonya Matvienko, Herman Nenov, Nastia Orudzova, Alina Blazhkevych, Kristian Schulte, Solomiia Vitvitska, Iryna Palko, and Ivan Liulenov.

On the final day, teenagers took the stage to present their team projects and received diplomas as a symbol of achievement and pride.
