War destroys the basic sense of security that is critically important for teenage development. In stressful conditions, personal boundaries often become blurred at both physical and emotional levels. Teenagers may stop recognizing their own needs, suppress emotions, or conversely—react too intensely.
Even in stressful conditions, teenagers have the right to personal space, their own belongings, the ability to refuse unwanted physical contact (hugs, touches), and the right to their own “no.”
At Place of Power, a safe space from the Benefactors Club, we’ve created a body-oriented therapy course where, under the guidance of experienced psychologists, teenagers develop self-confidence, receive practical stress management tools, find inner resources, and restore the connection between body and emotions.
We’ve already conducted the first course and are happy to share feedback from our participants:
Let’s help 12 teenagers find a sense of support during this difficult time. To do this, we need to raise 95,000 hryvnias—this will give them the opportunity to complete 12 sessions of body-oriented therapy over 6 weeks and regain a sense of control over their own lives.
Join the fundraiser—thanks to your support, teenagers get their chance for life-changing experiences that will help them become stronger, happier, and more confident.
